Cook's Old Mill

Located in Greenville, WV - 5 mintues

Cook's Old Mill is a beautiful mid-1800's gristmill.  It is a privately owned park-like venue for tourists, history buffs, Cook descendants, and mill enthusiasts. The mill is an anchor point on the “Farm Heritage Road”, one of Monroe County's Scenic Byways.


Cascade Falls

Located in Pembroke, VA - 45 mintues

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Virginia. The 69-foot falls that are created as Little Stony Creek and other streams converge on this spot. In the winter, ice forms along the 200-foot cliff walls that surround the falls, creating a truly magical frozen scene.

Bluestone Wildlife Management Area

Located near Indian Mills, WV - 21 minutes

Bluestone Wildlife Management Area offers visitors a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities on 17,632 acres. Being adjacent to Bluestone Lake, the state's second largest body of water, the area offers guests boating, canoeing and fishing opportunities. Hunting is offered due to the wildlife management area status, and Bluestone has over 330 primitive campsites and picnic sites along New River, Bluestone Lake and Indian Creek. Avid fishermen can enjoy float fishing and stocked trout fishing in Indian Creek. Hiking and equestrian trails are also popular.

Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory

Located on Peters Mtn, WV - 37 mintues

A one-mile hike from the Hanging Rock parking area will take you to the raptor observatory, sitting high atop Peters Mountain on the Eastern Continental Divide. From this vantage point, visitors have a 360 degree view of the surrounding areas and an eye-level view of migrating raptors.


Moncove Lake State Park

Located near Gap Mills, WV - 42 mintues

Moncove Lake State Park offers a peaceful setting for families to enjoy the outdoors. The park is a popular destination for outdoor social gatherings, quiet strolls, camping and water recreation.

Sandstone Falls (New River Gorge Nat'l Park)

Located near Shady Spring, WV - 47 minutes

The largest waterfall on the New River, Sandstone Falls spans the river where it is 1500 feet wide. Divided by a series of islands, the river drops 10 to 25 feet.  Sandstone Falls marks the transition zone of the New River from a broad river of large bottomlands, to a narrow mountain river roaring through a deep boulder strewn V- shaped gorge. The falls form the dramatic starting line for the New Rivers final rush trough the New River Gorge to its confluence with the Gauley River to form the Kanawha River.


Mountain Meadow Hunting Preserve

Located near Greenville, WV - 5 minutes

Mountain Meadows is a privately owned and operated HIGH FENCED HUNTING PRESERVE.  They offer Big Game hunts for trophy whitetail deer, fallow deer, red stag, wild boar and buffalo.
Their goal is to provide all of their hunters with the highest quality Big Game Hunting possible... and they succeed.

Hans Creek Outiftters

Located near Greenville, WV - 5 minutes

Hans Creek Outfitters is just 5 minutes from the winery.  They  are privately owned and operated, and offer free range hunts for whitetail deer, Fall/Spring turkey hunts, Russian boar, predator hunts and upland birds on their privately owned farms.
